🇮🇷 IRGC claims a supertanker carrying over 2M barrels exploded on a mine near Hormuz (unconfirmed)

• The IRGC Navy says a 'violating' supertanker carrying over 2 million barrels of crude exploded and caught fire after hitting a naval mine in the southern Strait of Hormuz (about 20:55 GST / 16:55 GMT), per newswires citing Iranian state media
• The IRGC says the ship had switched off its radar and navigation and ignored warnings; no vessel name and no independent confirmation so far

FO view: Until UKMTO or CENTCOM confirm it, this is an IRGC claim set against CENTCOM's earlier denial of Iran's mine claims and Rubio's word that Hormuz flows are near pre-war levels.
